Welcome to the StudyAbroad Program of Eurocentres Florence, one of the oldest shool of Italian for foreigners in Italy.
Studying abroad is an experience that broadens knowledge and spirit.
This page has been especially developed for University students who want to learn Italian in Italy and attend a study abroad program in Italy, and particularly in Florence, and have their indipendent studies for Italian language and culture in Italy granted academic credits.
Students attending Universities and enrolled in our short-term Italian language programs and full-immersion programs, wanting to get academic credits for their study abroad in Italy program, can have their italian language courses, Italian history courses, Italian art history, courses and semester programs reviewed for college and academic credits.
Each University has its unique procedures for approval of independent course work completed by its students in programs abroad so it is vital that students follow their university guidelines. Since each university also has its own regimen of determining numbers of credits earned for courses taken, students registering to earn academic credits at their universities for their study abroad Italian language and culture courses taken at Eurocentres are advised to follow the following procedures: determine courses in which you would like to enrol and identify courses for which you will be earning academic credit when registering for your study abroad Italian language and culture classes at Eurocentres.
Final grades follow the U.S. system of letter grades and are based on a 4-point scale. Course grades are based on a combination of attendance and participation, written assignments and a intermediate and final exams.
Upon completion of your Italian language course, an Official Transcript will be sent to the Registrar's Office or Study Abroad Office whichever is identified on the Transcript Request Form. Our Academic Advisor for Study Abroad programs in Florence will be happy to answer all of your questions and all of your requests by e-mail or from our office in Canada. Don't hesitate to contact us!
