Italian Language: Teacher Refresher Course
2 weeks of 25X50 minute lessons per week including projects, plus 5 hours study per week in the independent learning centre.
Language teachers can take advantage of Eurocentres' consolidated experience and expertise in order to update their language skills, explore new developments in teaching methodology and refresh their familiarity with the culture.
Summary of Contents
All course participants are invited to complete a detailed questionnaire before beginning the course, giving information about their teaching situation and their personal priorities. The content of each course is then customised to the needs of our course participants.
A typical course has three main components:
> Advanced learning improvement: personal diagnostic (phonology abd language usage), techniques for deepening your language awareness, advanced language skills, contemporary usage.
> Teaching and learning: the rationale behind curriculum design, different teaching approaches anbd materials; creating an environment for learning accuracy and fluency; awarenss of learners difficulties; assessing achievement in relation to the Common Europpean Framework.
> Practical ideas and updates: new ways of teaching a language and the four skills; exploiting drama, songs and technology; phasing and pacing lessons; mixed ability teaching; generating and managing interaction; monitoring and correcting techniques.
Plus opportunities for observation of classes, reviews of recently published materials, projects and material collection.
Enrolment fee: in addition to the arrangement price, a non-refundable enrolment fee of Eur 70 will be charged for each enrolment.
